Personalized stationery

10Jan

Created and letterpress printed sweet and simple stationery flat notes for my cousin-in-law. I am in love with that cornflower blue so you’ll probably see much more of it soon.

Tree and snow

12Dec

I just couldn’t help myself. Snow and tree letterpress gift tags custom orders that I printed. I just love how the paper actually looks like snow – soft, fluffy and white.

First show wrap up

12Dec

The Christmas market was great!

Here are a few Instagram shots I took during the show. There’s also a photo of me on the Bears Eat Berries Facebook page (at the end of the night, getting silly).

A few people passed by and mentioned that they don’t send Christmas cards anymore (whaaaat?) and most people didn’t know letterpress (whaaaat?) but once it was explained (my poor booth mates), people really seemed to appreciate the handmade craft and reviving old printing presses. A man even mentioned that his grandfather was a printer who owned the Aspen, Colorado newspaper at one time! How cool.

It was a good experiment on booth set up too. I definitely need a giant, “LETTERPRESS” sign so individuals know right away what this craft is. And a more sturdy table. But it was fun to decorate the table; and I have some product left over so if you still need cards or gift tags for Christmas, it’s not too late so check ‘em out.

Happy Friday

09Dec

I’m off to the Christmas Market in PA for my first show. I have my sign ready (temporary sign that I made out of paper…), cards, tags… it’ll be a simple display since I only had about a week to figure it out and get things ready, but sometimes simple is good, right?

PS. I’ll be tweeting some photos and updates throughout too!

Christmas Market

07Dec

I have been busy lately to say the least. Printing, folding, packaging…

Because…

This weekend I will be attending my first craft fair (gulp) — a Christmas Market actually! It’ll be in my hometown of Lititz, PA and…get this…in an old building which used to be a stationery store when I was growing up. It’s fitting, right?

I have no idea how much product to make. That’s my biggest concern. I don’t want to sell out after one evening but I also don’t want lots of product left over, you know? Especially with holiday goods…they’re seasonal. So I’m just making a wild guess on it all.

I also am terrible with arithmetic. Calculators are the best invention ever. I’ve also enlisted my friend who was a math major to help me (although she claims arithmetic and math are two different entities. psh.)

It’s Friday night and all day Saturday so come check it out if you are in the area!
