I recently was given some boxes of old supplies that belonged to a local artist in my hometown. I found about 30 cans of Van Son ink — I’m still checking them through as some are pretty old, but what a collection!

I also found a rogue “P” type

But, best of all, I have to announce that along with these treasures is a “{BABY} sister printer” to my Sigwalt: a Gocco printer!

I’ve never tried Gocco printing before but am really excited to try it out!

Handmade prints based on old photographs by Dameling. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a series of these of your family from generations past? (She does custom prints!)

I have been trying to find a pair of fun salt ‘n’ pepper shakers lately to dress up my kitchen. Found these worth noting:
Bicycles by AceroStudio
A Pair of Pekingese vintage shakers (Nuudee)
“Shake-a-leg” chicken legs by Supermarket
“Together Forever” hand painted by goodydevi
What to do with all of those old, plain ones laying around? Turn them into lovely little vases of course:

A Feliz Friday indeed for I am off to Miami for a long weekend!
Seeing the sights and my cousin who resides in the city known as “the gateway to the Americas”. Having never been to South Florida, I’m pretty excited to see the Art Deco buildings, eat some Cuban cuisine, lie on some beaches, and watch the roller skaters glide by (my vision of Miami may be off…)
Miami Beach is waiting for me! See you all on Tuesday!

There are many beautiful vintage postage stamps out there but these few caught my eye and made go “ooo…”

Bulgarian stamps via Grain Edit
Vintage Uruguay stamp
Vintage Israel stamp
Czech Vintage Stamp
(Uruguay, Israel, and Czech stamps found here)
These stamps from Romania didn’t make me go “ooo…” but I did giggle at the creepy kittens when I found them (here)

I did a little dumpster diving yesterday and scored this classic beauty:
I was thinking of reupholstering and painting it — thoughts? It seems to have already been reupholstered awhile ago because of the trimming along the border. I know that this is probably a job for the professionals but hey, I’m all about jumping in and trying projects out! I haven’t gotten anything to lose on this chair since I got it in the dumpster. It may take awhile for me to learn but I love a challenge!
This before and after from Design Sponge Online is something similar and pretty killer to what I was thinking:

I love this color combo:

Love that Scandinavian print too…
(found in Colette Patterns)
Or maybe I should try and do a pop of color with this bright turquoise:

Or a bright, cheery yellow like this one:

What are your ideas?
