Vegetable pop

07Mar

Pragya of Artocrat on Etsy has such fun, colorful prints of food. Wouldn’t it look great in a kitchen to make it bright and cheery? I love bright and cheery kitchens.

Plus, she makes vegetables look good.

Pantone cookies

31Jan

I found this on the Ladies of Letterpress blog and just had to re-post it because… it’s just awesome:

Pantone cookies! Yum. Made by Kim Creative Star.

By the way, do you know what the Pantone color of the year is for 2011?

There it is! What do you think of this “Honeysuckle” ?

Gray gown

26Jan

If I were not getting married in the sweltering summer, I’d wear this absolutely gorgeous gown (well, and also if I could afford Vera Wang!). It’s from the Vera Wang Fall 2011 collection:

I love gray.

Mountain of a message

20Oct

paper mountainpaper mountainNew from the Upon a Fold shop, this illustrated mountain memo will make a statement with whatever your message may be. Write the message then fold inwards to create your own mountain memo.  I’d take a message from a mountain; especially with its soft watercolors which draws my eye in immediately. It could possibly even be a fun way for guests to sign at a wedding!

Getting Inky

27Jul

letterpress ink - old-vintage can
Finally went through all of the inks I acquired, weeding out the dried up ones. Here’s what I ended up with:

2 Yellow

2 Rubine Red

1 PMS 185 Red

1 Rhodamine Red

2 Warm Red

1 Orange OA 3638

1 Brick Dust

1 Bronze Blue

1 Process Blue

and … 5 blacks.

Whew. I’m set for life with reds and black.

Too bad the “cactus” color didn’t work out; it looked like a fun color:

cactus color van son inkUnfortunately, I’ve got about 15 dried up cans to toss out. Anyone know how to dispose old ink properly?
