Workings from the weekend

A wine color and also deep brown on the new paper I tried out – Arturo. It has a nice rough edge (see below) which I like but it’s thinner (260gsm) so it was a bit harder to get that nice deep bite like Crane’s Lettra gives me.

It’s all in the swirl

Yulia Brodskaya, artist and illustrator, loves typography and paper and her brilliant designs encompass both. The detail of the paper structure with the rainbow of colors must be so labor intensive but I’m sure satisfying as well with these as end products:

I just love the texture and flow of these pieces. She made something seem so modern and graphic with a material so basic.

Touch and paper
