Now that I’m a little over five months from my wedding day and the caterer, band, dress, photographer, venue are all taken care of…what’s left? The details.

It’s all in the details and with so many beautiful, inspirational ideas out there, it’s a bit overwhelming. I want to do it all! I just need to figure out what works with the space, the environment and guests. For instance, As much as I love succulents, it’d be a bit silly using them for a wedding in Pennsylvania.
Did anyone get married recently? I’d love to see how you did it and any advice you may have!

The wedding planning is going underway and, at times, it feels very overwhelming on all of the choices to be made. We’ve gotten a lot of the big stuff taken care of, it’s just now the details (and the dress!) which need some decisions. But the details are the best part!
One detail that has been bogging my mind: the table display. One post I found from Inspired Bride are these unique flower arrangements that really caught my eye:
I LOVE the wooden and metal stands and also the glass dome! It looks vintage-y and classic.

I’m starting to think about decoration ideas for my upcoming wedding next summer. What to do?? It’s a little overwhelming at the moment. I’m such a book person (Q: what are your interests? Answer: reading) and was even contemplating the librarian profession for awhile. I did see this idea of using old books as part of the decoration and thought it looked really beautiful.

It gives it a nice vintage-y feel — and could be cheap too. What do you guys think?

I saw these wedding invitations at Oh Happy Day! and just had to re-post these because they are just so beautiful. Designed by Coral Pheasant and printed by Studio on Fire, these letterpress invitations are bold but subtle and all wrapped up neatly in some snazzy gold:

I love how the vintage stamps gives it a pop of color. Plus, the large action statements at the top that carries through with each piece is just beautiful and gives it such fluidity. The envelopes were handmade with the outer address labels must have taken forever but totally worth it!

I found this idea through The Girl in the Pink Wedding Dress and absolutely thought it was gorgeous. Usually, I would shy away from a sort of “one visual themed” soiree but using paper cranes not only has a beautiful symbolism (symbolizing love, peace, longevity and patience; cranes also mate for life) but you can do so much with them! The garlands hanging down are my absolute favorite.

Also, gotta love the letterpress printed invites!

Starting off this week, I wanted to share a few more photos highlighting the details of my sister’s wedding (because, you know, it’s all about the details…)
Favor cards that I created with letterpress.

Vintage postcards were scattered around the table. All of the postcards were places that the bride and groom either grew up in or lived for a significant amount of time. How fun is that?
Baby/kid photos were hung across a line.
What a lovely wedding it was :)
